The Client
Nymity, a respected provider of privacy-support solutions, has developed an industry-leading offering called PrivaWorks, a set of web-based tools that help privacy professionals maintain compliance, mitigate privacy risks, and monitor related legislation. More than 500 subscribers across North America rely on PrivaWorks to provide them with the insight and control they need to understand and respond to privacy threats and vulnerabilities.
The Challenge
PrivaWorks was using a Sitecore® web content management system (CMS) that had been improperly implemented. As a result, PrivaWorks users and administrators were experiencing runtime errors, memory leaks, and web front-end issues. No technical documentation had been provided to support the solution, and no systems knowledge had been transferred. At the same time, Nymity faced the challenge of amending some of the solution’s functionality in order to accommodate changes around subscription hierarchy, search capabilities, reporting, and user-activity.
The SiteSystems Solution
Upon conducting an in-depth analysis of the solution’s application source code, the SiteSystems Architecture Team identified numerous issues related to architecture inconsistency, code redundancy, performance flows and general technology misuse. The Team completed a reverse-engineering process to restore the application’s architecture details and uncover all weaknesses. These were documented and, after submission to the client for approval, all necessary fixes were made. SiteSystems then provided a series of best-practices suggestions for the new functionality that was needed. All were approved.
“It quickly became apparent to us that the knowledge and experience of SiteSystems is well above and beyond that of its competitors. We knew we were in good hands with the SiteSystems team.”
